Woodworking in Patterns

Therapeutic for the hands & mind

This workshop will involve a hands-on creative exploration of pattern work with wood veneer. Participants will be introduced to technique involving geometric pattern making, as well as free-form inlay technique. We will be using a variety of wood veneer in a range of species and color. Participants will go home with a panel of their own design. No woodworking experience required, and we are only using hand tools.

Lindsay Zuelich

Lindsay Zuelich

Los Angeles-based female woodworker; Lindsay Zuelich creates wooden accessories for both men and woman using reclaimed exotic woods. Lindsay was raised by a single father, who was supportive in her learning how to use tools and know how to build and create using her hands. This led her to get a degree in Interior Design with an understudy in furniture design and building. She later started her own small business, under the name of Wood Brain, specializing in handmade wooden accessories. She draws her inspiration from heading into the mountains being out amongst the trees to spending time in front of the ocean. Lindsay has built a career in making art for a living. She finds great fulfillment in the ability to create with her hands and to be able to share that knowledge with others. The laborious hours required to create each piece are soothing and meditative for this LA based native, who’s always on the go.
